About PAL
What is PAL
The Police Activities League (PAL) is one of the oldest citizen-building youth programs in the nation and is designed to support these vulnerable, at-risk youth. Vacaville PAL fosters a positive relationship between law enforcement officers and the youth in our community through a variety of fun and rewarding activities. Police officers, as well as other adult staff and volunteers, have the opportunity to be trusted mentors that assist children with guidance, setting goals, and enjoying new life opportunities.
Vacaville PAL offers free and low cost programs for youth ages 7-18 which focuses on enriching their lives and broadening their experiences. The recreational and educational activities that PAL offers include everything from boxing and judo, to our mentorship and teen leadership programs and trips such as visiting the Exploratorium in San Francisco or the Rocknasium in Davis. In PAL the recreational and enrichment components of the program work together encouraging socialization, which builds self-esteem and a sense of community. Our programs also fosters human development and cultural unity through exploration and personal experiences. PAL members also have the opportunity to apply for scholarships to participate in many classes and programs offered by the Vacaville Community Services Department.
Our Mission
Vacaville PAL strives to provide alternative activities to delinquency and build a common bond between youth, and the community.
In addition, we continue to function collaboratively with components of the City of Vacaville and outside agencies to promote responsibility, accountability, and community involvement.
